Mona Chiriac graduated Geography and English Language and Literature in Iași, Romania and a Masters in Leading Teaching and Learning at Cambridge University. She has a Summa cum Laude for her PhD thesis on Geographies of Sustainability Education and has been involved in teacher training and professional development since 2009.
With over 20 years’ experience working in the UK and internationally in various capacities, Mona’s keen interest is in enhancing students’ learning power through effective classroom teaching and learning strategies.
She’s an educational consultant and international trainer and she’s also been examining for AS and A Level Geography and other IGCSE subjects.
Aside from the consulting and training, Mona has been involved in numerous Erasmus + European Projects related to flipped learning, introducing virtual reality in classrooms, adult education, integrating migrants in the workplace etc.
Mona has also taken a keen interest in developing non-formal leadership as a way to bring about school improvement and to increase the agency power of teachers. She is an author of various papers on educational leadership and on education for sustainability.

Professor Mark Winterbottom is Deputy Head of Faculty, at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. He leads the secondary PGCE initial teacher education course, with particular responsibility for biology teacher education. Mark has a wide range of research interests, particularly in science education, teacher education, and classroom environments.
He has authored and contributed to a wide variety of school textbooks for 11-14, GCSE, and A-level students, along with several books for teachers and Masters students in Education. Mark is a senior examiner at GCSE and A level, for UK and international qualifications, and regularly runs continuing professional development courses for teachers internationally.
He has been involved in several curriculum-development projects, as well as teacher education and development projects in the UK and around the world.
